So you're just starting out and you need to catch your bearings and get to know the server. PERFECT! This guide is for you then~
First of all-- Welcome to Einherjar! We're so happy you've graced us with your presence and need some help getting to know us.

It goes without saying that Einherjar is not just ~any~ Ragnarok Online server. The customization around here is pretty neat and we hope that with some guidance you'll be able to enjoy what it is we offer here [:

Novice Grounds

You'll start in the Novice Grounds, they serve as a basic introduction to RO but will also teach you about some of our Custom Systems such as Mining and Enchanting, so even if you're a long time RO player, make sure you pay attention to those parts. Go here for a walk through.

Starter Tips

Unlocking Town Warps

Yes, I do mean so you can properly use the Warp Gates!
Fields and Dungeons will unlock with time and maybe more established players will help you get to certain areas you haven't unlocked yet.

To trigger a Waypoint Unlock you need to click on a Warp Gate.

In doing so, a little effect will pop up above your character letting you know that you've unlocked that Town.

What Class to Play?

Any physically and/or ranged class that has fast attack speed is the honest way to go.

You'll gain more gears and can easily hunt for the Class you want to eventually play. Most classes that don't start out "easy" end up being the biggest powerhouses, so truly give yourself some grace by using a class that doesn't heavily rely on HP/SP items so you don't go broke right out the gates.

Personal note: I go Hunter myself, and I really wanted to know what Pirate was all about because of the Pistol and Dagger/Sword Dual-Wield. Now however, I wanna know more about Mercenary and Dual-Wield Pistols, so I'm bouncing between both classes to boost them both as I go!

Daily Rewards

You can claim a Daily Reward in the building just southwest of the Prontera fountain. Remember: You can go back to Prontera with the @main command. You will also get a 1 hour buff that increases your EXP and Drop rates, as well as allowing free use of the Warp Gates.

Fountain Healer

The Fountain in Prontera, and in a few other cities can heal your HP and SP you for free! Simply click on it and your character will start to drink the water and get healed.

Chest Hunting

There are various locked Chests across Einherjar Rune Midgard. You can buy the keys needed to open them in Weapon Shops or Blacksmith Shops across many Towns.

The best Key Merchant is in the Yuno Weapon Shop~

There are also AFK Chests in some towns, easiest being two located down in South Prontera. Walk down a ways and you'll see them along the path. Tip: sit down while AFK to prevent any accidents.

Mining

As you learned in the Novice Grounds, you can mine deposits with a pickaxe equipped. These are a great way to increase your Weight Limit and acquire some Ores. You will find deposits in Dungeons, they have a global spawn so don't just mine in one place. Pickaxes can be bought from NPCs that usually hang out near the Refining NPCs.

Enchanting

Ornaments are crafted by the Enchanter Fairies for 1 Star Crumb and 1 respective Gem(Ruby=Ruin, Amethyst=Aegis, etc).

Runes go in the Ornament slot like cards. They are crafted with 1 Star Dust and 1 Gem.

The runes you receive are random and will be Lv1 if you haven't done any of the quests, but * these can be upgraded so you should start as soon as you can.

Desocketing runes costs 1 Yellow Gem and never fails.

Repeatable EXP Quests & Bounty Boards

It is imperative that you utilize both of these Quest types as they will greatly ease the burden of leveling.

Leveling is fun, but grinding? Nahhh. So use these as best you can, it helps greatly!

You can even boost two characters at once! Leveling and hunting monsters on one character and collecting the turn-ins for another.

It should go without saying but not all of the Repeatable EXP Quests are created equal. Like hunting Golems and Stone Hearts?
Definitely a waste of time compared to turn-ins for Caramel/Frilldora and their Porcupine Quill/Frill.

SP Sustain

Besides the Enchanting options of Sustain, Cost Down, etc, you can buy Grapes in Zhakastia which can be crafted into Grape Juice. Another easy way is to farm a Soul Taker Card and the Pet in Draugad.

Custom Items

In our Items page you can find your way to many headgear [[Quests|Generic_Quest], a list of new Armor obtainable from monsters and more.
