So, even if you're a long time RO player, make sure you pay attention to this area at least once. Check this page for a walk through: '''[[Novice Grounds]]'''

Now despite the last quest saying there is a ''"next part of the Quest Chain"'' there isn't in that these next quests are standalone.
There are none ~need~ to be completed '''HOWEVER'''-- We heavily advise doing them as each Class Reward Box is worth 2,500z a piece when sold to an NPC and who doesn't love some extra starter zeny?!
These are just scattered Quests, they can all be accepted at the same time and they all give you something for your efforts!
Once you finish the Quests you should be Job Level 10 and ready for a [[:Category:Classes|Job Change]]! If you finish and still aren't Job Level 10, we suggest killing off some '''Savage Babe''' as they give the best Job EXP from the area [:
As you learned in the Novice Grounds, you can mine deposits with a pickaxe equipped. These are a great way to increase your Weight Limit and acquire some Ores. You will find deposits in Dungeons, they have a '''shared global spawn''' so don't just mine in one place. Pickaxes can be bought from NPCs that usually hang out near the Refining NPCs.

Novice Grounds[edit]

When you first log into the game, you'll start in the Novice Grounds, which serve as a basic introduction to RO but will also teach you about some of our Custom Systems such as Mining and Enchanting. So, even if you're a long time RO player, make sure you pay attention to this area at least once. Check this page for a walk through: Novice Grounds

Starter Tips[edit]

Unlocking Town Warps[edit]

WarpGate.png

Each town that has a warp gate must be unlocked before you can warp to them. To unlock a town's waypoint, you need to click on the Warp Gates which is usually near the kafra, or near the town's entrance.

In doing so, a little effect will pop up above your character letting you know that you've unlocked that Town.
None

Dungeons will unlock automatically when you enter them.

Unlocking a warp gate applies account-wide, so you only need to unlock each town/dungeon once.

Remember that using Warp Gates consumes gemstones (Blue gemstone for town warp, red gemstone for dungeon warp), so make sure to stock up on them at the Geffen tool dealer building!

Daily Rewards[edit]

See Also: Daily Rewards

You can claim a Daily Reward in the building just southwest of the Prontera fountain. Remember: You can go back to Prontera with the @main command. You will also get a 1 hour buff that increases your EXP and Drop rates, as well as allowing free use of the Warp Gates.

Resets[edit]

Resets are free, the reset NPC is found in the same building as the daily rewards NPC.

Stylist[edit]

Want to use a different hairstyle, hair colour, or outfit colour? The stylist NPC is located in the event building, south of Prontera blacksmith building. Check Event Building.

Fountain Healer[edit]

The Fountain in Prontera, and in a few other cities can heal your HP and SP you for free! Simply click on it and your character will start to drink the water and get healed.

Once fully healed you will even get a buff!

Chest Hunting[edit]

AFK Chest 3.png
See Also: Treasure Hunting

There are various locked Chests across the world. You can usually find key vendors near Weapon Shops or Refining Shops across many Towns.

A good Key Merchant is in the Yuno Weapon Shop, who sells every key type~

There are also AFK Chests in some towns, easiest being two located down in South Prontera. Walk down a ways and you'll see them along the path. Tip: sit down while AFK to prevent any accidents.

Commands[edit]

Mining[edit]

See Also: Mining

As you learned in the Novice Grounds, you can mine deposits with a pickaxe equipped. These are a great way to increase your Weight Limit and acquire some Ores. You will find deposits in Dungeons, they have a shared global spawn so don't just mine in one place. Pickaxes can be bought from NPCs that usually hang out near the Refining NPCs.

Enchanting[edit]

Main Page: Enchanting

 • Ornaments are crafted by the Enchanter Fairies for 1 Star Crumb and 1 respective Gem(Ruby=Ruin, Amethyst=Aegis, etc).

 • Runes go in the Ornament slot like cards. They are crafted with 1 Star Dust and 1 Gem.

 • The runes you receive are random and will be Lv1 if you haven't done any of the quests, but these can be upgraded so you should start as soon as you can.

 • Desocketing runes costs 1 Yellow Gem and never fails.

Repeatable EXP Quests & Bounty Boards[edit]

The bounty board can be done daily on every character and can give you a big boost in EXP.

The Repeatable EXP Quests work decently well as a guideline for players who are lost or unsure of where to go.

SP Sustain[edit]

Besides the Enchanting options of Sustain, Cost Down, etc, short term you can buy Grapes in Zhakastia which can be crafted into Grape Juice. Another way is to farm a 37007.png Soul Taker Card and the 33549.png Soul Taker Pet in Draugad.

Custom Items[edit]

In our Items page you can find many Headgear Quests, a list of new Armor, Weapons and other items that are obtainable.
