Overview

The Pirate is one of the custom 1st classes on Einherjar. It's role is somewhere between a Swordy and a Thief, with steal and ranged attack options. A Pirate's weapon is either Sword/Pistol combo, Dagger/Pistol combo or Pistol dualweilding. It get's it's attack-bonus from STR, DEX and LUK, a bit modified compared to other classes due the Melee/ranged combo and Skill-crits.

Unique to very few classes, most Pirate Skills can crit and so do increased damage while ignoring part of the opponents flee and def. It's Skills "Pirate Jinx" and "Luck of the Sea" enhance and boost this feature even more.

Pirates can travel to Tortuga and Zhakastia, where they will find other pirates who can offer services and sell items useful to them, including pistols and bullets. See Tantale, Tortuga and Zhakastia Access.

Job Change

1) From the Start Area of Lunar Fields, speak with the Pirate Guide and tell him you want to be a Pirate!

2) You'll be transported to a ship docked in Alberta Port, walk through the warp into the bow of the ship and speak with Pirate Guide.

3) After speaking with her, she'll have you speak to Pirate Guildsman to finalize your Job Change to Pirate!

At Job Level 40 Pirate can change into Buccaneer or Mercenary.

Bullets

Bullets can be purchased for Zeny from the usual Gunslinger merchants in Einbroch, in the Alberta Tool Weapon Shop, in the Izlude Tool Shop as well as in Zhakastia, including elemental bullets. If you'd rather spend Pirate Doubloons, you can find them in vending machines in Tortuga.

Damage

Non-Pistol + Pistol Combos have a special base attack calculation

  • Base = (Dex + Str) / 4
  • Atk = ((Base/10)^2 + (Base*6/5) + (Luk / 5))

This means you can choose whether you focus on Dex, Str or mix both when using Sword/Dagger + Pistol.

Bullet Burst.png Bullet Burst Fires three bullets at the target dealing (50 + 7*SkillLV) per shot. 10 Offensive
