From Project Einherjar

There are Deposits throughout the game, you can attack these Deposits only with a Pickaxe, while Wearing a Pickaxe your AMP is locked. As you level up Mining you get more Passive Carry Weight hit deposits for more damage. Damage Dealt is Pickaxe Level + Mining Level.

Pickaxes

There are 5 pickaxes in game, each one grants a different level of the skill Pickaxe.

Locations

Deposits spawn in dungeons, their type primarily decided by the element of monsters in the map. The deposit pool is shared across all maps, that means you can mine out every deposit from a map, so you should go mine in different maps.

Elunium and Oridecon spawn in most dungeons. Gold and Mithril deposits can spawn in all dungeons.
