Overview

Job Base: Spearman
Job Type: 2-2

Draconiers are a second class of Spearman, they have high mobility in the battlefield and are experts fighting against Dragons. Some Draconiers even have a dragon as a companion, which is able to support them in combat with powerful attacks and magic effects.

Job Change

South of Hugel an old man can teleport job level 40+ Spearman to the town of Neet, or you may walk southwest of Hugel(hu_fild02 114, 269)

Once wearing Dragonbound head east then south, NOT south then east. Heading south first is significantly harder.
Kongol is east of the Abyss Lake(outside)

Builds

Dragon Only Fan

  • STR: 90-99
  • AGI: 1
  • VIT: 80~90
  • INT: 20-40
  • DEX: 1-30
  • LUK: 1-50

Weapons: Any Dagger or Spear with high ATK or utility.

The build focus on the use of your hatched dragon to deal damage and tank. Will it be mobbing monsters, taking or engaging one by one the dragon is a very powerful ally that can AoE and dish out enemies individually really fast. The dragon is really tanky because his FLEE and DEF are not affected with amount of monster attacking (behaves similar to an homunculus). The dragon Attack Damage depends on the player base ATK and weapon ATK not affected with % cards like Hydra. But it does get affected by cards like Andre and Zipper Bear.

The main stats of the build are STR and VIT. The first will give you higher Attack damage to the hatched dragon with the added bonus of increasing weight limit. VIT is mostly for the HP increase and damage reduction in conjunction with Draconian Instinct, will make really tanky against not so hard hitting enemies. For the rest of the stats some INT to keep SP up with the auras. And if you like LUK for higher item drop chance.

The way to engage in combat with the dragon it's either with Dragon Magic (Element depends on hatched dragon) or the combo Dragon Charge & Draconic Savagery.

When using Draconic Mantle remember that every dragon has his own scaling of this skills and may not deal enough damage to feel viable if not build specifically for this.

Tips:

  • Get an Obeaune Card. For the only purpose of curing Silence Status from your dragon. Yes re hatch can work but takes several seconds.
  • Fortune Sword it's a very good weapon that can help you mob and tank.
  • If your dragon runs out of SP or HP just re hatch it to recover fully.
